Fleet Driver Training Courses

There are basically three types of course:

Basic 8 Hour Course, Practical Driver Training Course, and a 3 Day driver assessor course.

Please see relevant headings for more information.

The Basic 8 - Hour Course:

1) The briefing. An examination of the vehicle which should become a habit

2) Safety Check. An examination of the vehicle which should become a habit

3) An Assessment of each individual driver participating in the course

4) A demonstration drive by the course instructor(s)

5) On the road training. Note passengers are also expected to take an active roll when it is
not their turn to drive

6) Verbal de-brief. One to one feedback and a performance report given to each individual driver

7) Course notes. A summary and useful reminder of the entire days activities

8) Follow up. Certificates of attendance are sent to each student as well as a course appraisal form so that they may give us their views on our instruction.

All we ask you to supply is a suitable vehicle, a VHS video, OHP and a flip chart.
We can, if required, customise this course to include any special identified concerns e.g. you may have an accident problem with van drivers reversing. So do not be afraid to ask.

Each instructor can accommodate three pupils in a four seat vehicle although we strongly recommend two pupils per instructor as the best training ratio.
