Full Intensive Course (3-10 days)
With our Full Intensive Courses you will be given tuition over 3-10 days depending on how many hours you have chosen to do with your test pre-booked for the final day of your course. Our normal course times are 9am-2pm every day. (This can be varied by arrangement). This means information you learn remains fresh and this allows your confidence to grow. Ultimately, much more effective learning takes place as there are no long gaps between your tution and you do not spend half of your lesson recapping what you have previously learnt.
To begin your Alan’s Intensive Driving Course you will need two things.
1: Provisional Driving Licence
2: Theory Test: (Required for Full Intensive & Residential Courses)The Theory Test is split into two parts. The first is a multiple choice test comprising of 50 questions. This is carried out using a touch screen computer. The pass mark is 43. The second part is a Hazard Perception Test. This is a series of 14 separate video clips showing hazardous situations. You identify these hazards by clicking the mouse at the appropriate time. You must score 44 or more out of 75 to pass. Once you pass both parts you will then need to take your practical driving test within 2 years otherwise you will have to retake both parts again.
