Welcome to Alans Driving School
Thank you for taking the time to find out about Alan’s Driving School. You may already be aware that we have been established since 1980 and fast approaching our 30th anniversary. We provide driving lessons throughout Essex and East London and have qualified and motivated driving instructors who can provide you with driving lessons tailored to your requirements.

At Alan’s Driving School we know that you will only learn to drive once and we know how important it is to teach you the skills required for a lifetime of safe driving, not just the basics to get you through a test. We also understand that our clients appreciate good value for money and you need driving lessons at a price that is right for you.
Alan’s Driving School are not only passionate about providing driving lessons that offer you quality but also we understand it is important to give your driving instructor the background support that ensures that he or she can provide you with the quality driving lessons you want. But we don’t just talk about it; we are actively doing something about it. Alan’s Driving School have been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 standard mark for quality. This means that independent auditors have examined, in detail, how our business operates. Once they were satisfied that we met their strict criteria we were awarded the ISO9001:2008 standard for quality management systems.
Alan’s Driving School can offer both male and female driving instructors in either manual or automatic dual control cars throughout most of Essex and East London. We can also offer you intensive courses – commonly known as crash courses, advanced driving lessons, instructor training, fleet driver training and much more. The reason why we are so successful is our instructors are highly trained. They are encouraged to work closely as a team as well as become involved in all aspects of driver training.
Alan’s Driving School instructors are also involved in working with local schools and colleges as well as social services and Essex County Council. We work closely alongside local Road Safety Officers providing pre-driver courses in schools and we also give our time free to attend local events to help raise money for local charities and causes.
Alan's Driving School won the Local Business Awards, for five consecutive years, for Basildon, Thurrock, and Southend and work closely with the Fords UK and various other large companies teaching both learner drivers and advanced driving.
The market for advanced driving and fleet driver training is ever increasing as companies try to reduce the costs of insurance, fuel and wear and tear on company vehicles. To this end we now have many instructors working in this field working with both IAM and ROSPA. Alan's is involved in many areas of training and we now run a variety of courses.
